Global hip-hop label H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS has returned with its second compilation album approximately six years after the release of [RED TAPE] and [BLUE TAPE] in 2020. The album features artists from H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS, including BIG Naughty (Seo Dong-hyun), pH-1, Woodie Gochild, and lIlBOI, who present tracks reflecting their individual personalities and styles. The compilation album [PURPLE TAPE] is a project that allows listeners to witness the relationships and collaboration methods the label has built over the years all in one place. Artists with diverse musical backgrounds naturally intersect based on their respective works, expanding the flow of the team that H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS has maintained.

Composed of a total of 15 tracks, [PURPLE TAPE] is completed with an unconventional structure in which every song is presented as a title track.

Just as its name blends the colors of the previous works, [RED TAPE] and [BLUE TAPE], suggests, this album captures the musical characteristics demonstrated in both compilations. By combining the intense and impactful hip-hop sound of [RED TAPE] with the soft and lyrical sensibility of [BLUE TAPE], it presents the musical spectrum that H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS has built in a significantly expanded form.
